Probably the best place for a late summer break

There was a fascinating piece in this weekend’s Sunday Times travel section by writer Stephen Bleach advocating a trip to the Kalkan area as the best bet for a late summer break. We agree! He argued that Portugal can be very thunderous with heavy Atlantic influences, the Dordogne can be rainy, Greece is too windy and Spain is all parched countryside and ‘tourists go home’ graffiti. Whereas here it’s simply warmth with a welcome and without the crowds. It’s a simplification but he makes a very telling point with temperatures here a balmy 30° with blue skies, mountainsides still lush and seas silky warm.

He loves the old town and its historic features, the cute art galleries, shops and fabulous restaurants. But most of all he really likes the genuinely friendly atmosphere he always discovers from locals who make an effort to welcome the Brit tourists, who have always enjoyed this jewel on the Turquoise coast.

So if you are interested in a late break just fill in the enquiry form in the Contact section with your requirements and we’ll get back to you soonest.
